Job Description

Formulating and implementing creative marketing strategies that will make an impact, support the brand and drive sales.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. The Marketing Manager will be making and identifying the need for company products in the market. Monitoring the product process and movements in the respective fields and developing as well as execute product, launches, promotions and demonstrations

2. Tasked with managing the marketing budget on a day to day basis. Monitoring and reporting any market conditions that would hinder product selling. Where need be out-sourcing external marketing teams for promotional activities where required.

3. Developing the annual Marketing plan. Timely generating and submitting of monthly marketing status. Assist in identifying, monitoring and actualizing business opportunities

4. Producing innovative and cost-effective promotions both in print and online Promoting and bargaining for funds from different principles.

5. Formulating and implementing creative marketing strategies that will make an impact, support the brand and drive sales

6. Tasked with monitoring and coordinating day to day activities of the merchandising team. Coordinating with the sales team to promote CU products. Supervising and monitoring the sales field team during POP placements.

7. Taking good record of promotional materials and make sure the promotional materials

Key Performance Indicators:
Effectiveness of promotional and advertising activities
Accuracy in reporting any price or market challenges and changes.
Co-ordination with merchandisers.
Maintenance and distribution of promotional and advertising materials.
Brand Performance Effective management of marketing budget
Communication & coordination with principles.

Position Requirements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
1. The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in a Business Course preferably marketing.
2. A minimum of three years of experience in a similar position especially with FMCG.
3. Professional Sales & Marketing qualification such as CIM will be an added advantage
4. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills High levels of creativity
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills
6. Good levels of numeracy
7. Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
8. Good brand building skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.
9. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills Self-starter in meeting tight deadlines.
10. Ability to use a computer and strong analytical skills.
11. Strong leadership and team building skills.
12. Highly energetic, Innovative and creative person.
13. The applicant should have market intelligence and be willing to travel extensively in the field.
